Hendrikson&Ko has been my second home for 25 years now. It may sound like an intimidatingly long time, but thanks to the fascinating work, the years have flown by. What keeps me at Hendrikson is the great variety of projects and the opportunity they offer to explore the latest developments in fields as diverse as aquaculture, oil shale ash processing and the preservation of culturally and historically valuable environments. And, of course, there are our people – professional, supportive and friendly. A strong sense of teamwork is essential when working in spatial planning.

I began working in spatial planning consultancy while studying geography at the University of Tartu. I later completed my PhD there, focusing on creative pragmatism in Estonian spatial planning. I have remained closely connected to the university and currently work as a Spatial Planning Researcher in the Department of Geography. I am also actively involved in the Estonian Association of Spatial Planners.

Quite often, even my free time finds me browsing professional literature and exploring planning practices in other countries. When I do step away from planning, I enjoy travelling – and every now and then, a good workout at the gym.
